Transferring to Ryukyu Fisheries HighSchool, teacher Hiroyoshi Sai is assigned manager of the school's baseball team that was on the verge of being abolished.
His sights become solely focused on winning the National High School Baseball Championshipat Kosher.
Beginning with thorough ground maintenance, team members are put through relentless training, which eventually arouses antipathy from not only the team members butthe teachers as well.
Meanwhile, genius pitcher Ota joins the Ryukyu Fisheries baseball team and members begin to think that winning the Championship may not be a faraway dream.
